Predominantly red Air Jordan 4’s on the other hand, have not found the same success. However, the Fire Red’s were still predominantly white. Released originally in 1989, the Fire Red 4’s were extremely successful, earning legendary status, and have been retro-ed multiple times since. And whilst the original Raging Bull uses a touch of white on the midsole, we think the heavy application of white on the Chicago Bulls jersey means it’s alright for us to scale up its usage.Īir Jordan 4’s have had their fair share of red colorways over the years, most notably the Air Jordan 4 Fire Red. The main difference between the two colorways, is that we chose to use dark grey to contrast with the red, rather than the black features that the Raging Bull 5’s implement. We took this colorway and remixed it to make it suitable for the Air Jordan 4. Our concept is inspired by the Air Jordan 5 Raging Bull, a highly desirable Chicago Bulls themed sneaker that was first released in 2009 but re-released earlier this year. The sole is mostly red apart from a white outsole, and a hit of grey around the heel. The upper is completed with a grey and white Jumpman tag on the tongue. Details like the wings and the heel tab are also covered in red, whilst the laces and lining both are dressed in white. A light red is used on the mudguard, whilst the middle panel on the upper as well as the tongue are coated in a stronger red, and a dark red finish on the top panel of the upper completes the look. The sneaker comes in 3 shades of red on its nubuck and leather upper.

We have once again attempted to create our own Air Jordan 4 concept, using our love of red on shoes to its full extent. But fans have never expressed any issues with this, the red Chicago and Bred 1’s are some of the most desirable sneakers on the planet. Especially when it comes to Jordan’s, the NBA’s old rules about team colors meant that Michael Jordan spent a large part of his career rocking red sneakers. Who doesn’t love red sneakers? Red is one of the most common colors, after black and white, to find on a pair of kicks.
